In a further commitment to our green (carbon) footprint, Wayoutback Australian Safaris has acquired 100% Recycled Plastic Product for the erection of our permanent Tent Bases at the Yulara & Kings Creek Station remote campsites.
The material procured via Repeat Products based in Melbourne is 100% recycled Plastic waste e.g. bottles, milk crates, bread crates etc.
The purchase of this weather/water & termite proof product provides a saving to the environment of 60,000 2-litre PET containers or 118 cubic metres of landfill.
Going Green is just not a fad taken lightly so to appease climate action impact critics or lobby groups says Managing Director Mr Don Wait, “It is a policy we have committed to and as is the case here, it provides a very economical & maintenance free alternative to conventional type materials”.
This project is part of an extensive upgrade, which includes the recycling of products used and solar power usage at our campsites.
